(a and b) The levels of p-AMPKα, SREBP-1, FASN and ACC1 were measured in hepatocellular carcinoma Hepa1–6 and HepG2 cells co-transfected with NS5A and AMPKα1 and 2 by Western blotting. (c) The mRNA levels of SREBP-1c and FASN in Hepa1–6 cells were examined using qRT-PCR. (d and e) Representative images of the accumulation of cytoplasmic lipid droplets in HepG2 cells co-transfected with NS5A and AMPKα1 and 2 for 40 h stained with Oil Red O (× 400).
