Sodium butyrate induced cell cycle arrest in breast cancer cells. Cells were treated with sodium butyrate (1, 5, 10 mM) for 48 h and cell cycle distribution were analyzed by flow cytometry using PI staining for MCF-7 (a), MDA-MB-468 (b) and MCF-10A (c).The accumulation of cells in sub-G1 phase was increased significantly in both cell lines. Data represent Mean ± SD of three separate experiments. Statistical differences between different groups were analyzed by ANOVA (* = P < 0.05, ** = P < 0.01, *** = P < 0.001)
