Effects of guaraná on thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) production during CuSO 4 -induced LDL oxidation. LDL (50 μg protein/mL) was incubated in PBS 10 mM (pH 7.4) at 37°C in the presence of CuSO4 5 μM. Incubation medium did not contain guaraná and CuSO4 (1) or contained CuSO4 (2), 0.01 μg/mL (3), 0.05 μg/mL (4), 0.1 μg/mL (5), 1 μg/mL (6) or 5 μg/mL of guaraná. Experiments were repeated three times.
